Andrew “Drew” Glackin died at age 44 from
an advanced form of Graves’
Disease (hyperthyroidism) also known as a Thyroid
Storm. A thyroid storm is a sudden onset of over
activity of the thyroid gland. Untreated a thyroid storm could cause death
within 72 hours. The disease that took Drew’s life at such an early age may cause any of the
following; rapid weight loss, sweating, feeling hot, rapid heartbeats, heart
failure, high fever (105-106), and more.
